These terms are an agreement between you and Mehmet Turşucu, the independent developer who builds and runs yabidi (“yabidi”, “we”, “us”; contact: mehmet.tursucu@yabidi.com). They apply to the yabidi app for iPhone and to yabidi.com. By creating an account or using yabidi, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.
Who can use yabidi
You must be at least 18 years old to use yabidi. You need an iPhone with a supported version of iOS and an internet connection, because your data is kept in your yabidi account on our servers.
Your account
- You sign in with Apple, Google or a one-time code sent to your email address. Keep access to your device and sign-in method secure; you’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- Give us accurate sign-in details, and tell us at support@yabidi.com if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app. See how to delete your account.
What yabidi is, and what it isn’t
yabidi is a tool for keeping track of your money and planning ahead. It helps you record spending and income, set budgets and savings goals, compare debt payoff methods and follow accounts and investments.
- yabidi doesn’t give advice. Nothing in yabidi, including the assistant, is financial, investment, tax, legal or other professional advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Decisions are yours; for advice about your situation, talk to a qualified professional.
- Projections are simulations. Debt payoff dates, interest totals, goal timelines and similar figures are estimates based on the information you enter and on assumptions that may not hold. Real interest, fees, exchange rates and payment dates can differ.
- yabidi isn’t a bank. It doesn’t hold, move or invest money, doesn’t make payments for you, and doesn’t connect to your bank accounts today. Accounts and investments in yabidi are for tracking only.
- Check important numbers. Your bank, card issuer or lender’s statements are the official record. yabidi’s figures depend on what you enter and may be incomplete or out of date.
The assistant
The assistant uses artificial intelligence (Claude, by Anthropic) to answer questions about your money using your yabidi data.
- It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Don’t rely on it alone for important decisions.
- It only discusses money topics and may decline other requests.
- It can prepare changes to your records, but nothing is saved until you confirm, and you can undo changes.
- When you attach a photo or PDF of a receipt, statement or other document, it suggests the transactions it finds. Reading a document can go wrong, so check the amounts, dates and other details before you confirm.
- Don’t use it to create unlawful, harmful or misleading content, or to try to get around its limits or safeguards.
- Plans may limit how many assistant messages you can send each month.
Plans and payments
- yabidi has a free plan and a paid Individual plan. Features and prices are shown in the app and the App Store before you buy.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, using the payment method in your Apple Account.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Deleting yabidi or your yabidi account doesn’t cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Your rights under consumer protection laws aren’t affected.
- If we change prices, we’ll tell you in advance, and Apple will ask for your agreement where required.
Your data and content
The records you enter, your messages and the documents you attach belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to provide yabidi to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your transactions and delete your data at any time.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse yabidi. For example, don’t:
- break the law or anyone’s rights while using it;
- try to access other people’s accounts or data, or our systems, without permission;
- interfere with or overload yabidi, or get around rate limits, plan limits or security measures;
- copy, scrape or resell yabidi or its content, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- enter other people’s personal data unless you have the right to.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we’ll tell you why unless the law or security reasons prevent us.
Changes to yabidi
We keep improving yabidi, so features may change. Some features, such as connecting to banks, are described as coming soon; they’re not promised and may change. If we stop providing yabidi, we’ll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Intellectual property
yabidi, its logo, app, website and content are ours or our licensors’. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Terms and Conditions. They don’t give you any other rights to our trademarks or content.
Disclaimers
yabidi is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t give warranties that yabidi will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that its calculations or the assistant’s answers will be accurate or complete. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, money or data, arising from your use of yabidi, including decisions you make based on its figures or the assistant’s answers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for yabidi in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you’re a consumer in the EU or the UK, you keep all the rights the law gives you.
Ending these terms
You can stop using yabidi and delete your account at any time. We may end these terms or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break them, or if the law requires it. The sections on disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law continue to apply after these terms end.
Governing law and disputes
If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts where the law allows.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for yabidi or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for yabidi. If yabidi doesn’t conform to an applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims relating to yabidi, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and claims that it infringes someone’s intellectual property. You confirm that you’re not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you’re not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use yabidi. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post changes here and update the date at the top; if a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using yabidi after that, you accept the new terms.
